Privacy Policy

What Articulation Drills collects, which is nothing.

Articulation Drills collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and the app makes no network connection of its own.

Information we collect

None. The app has no sign-up and no login. It never asks for a name, email address, photograph, location, contact list, or any other personal information, and it contains no code that transmits information anywhere.

Information stored on your device

The app saves a small number of preferences in the device’s standard app storage. These are whether the full set of sounds has been unlocked by purchase, and your practice settings, such as whether printed words appear on the cards. This data never leaves the device, is readable only by Articulation Drills, and is removed when the app is deleted.

Purchases

The one-time purchase that unlocks all sound sets is handled entirely by Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Payment details go to Apple, never to us. We do not see your card, your Apple Account, or your name. Apple reports back to the app only whether the purchase completed. Apple’s own handling of that information is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Audio and the microphone

The spoken words are audio files shipped inside the app and played from the device. The app does not record audio and does not use the microphone.

Children’s privacy

Articulation Drills is made for young children to use, typically alongside a speech-language pathologist, teacher, or parent. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. There is nothing for us to store, disclose, sell, or share. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or from anyone else.

Third parties

The app includes no analytics services, advertising networks, social media logins, or tracking technologies of any kind. Apple is the only third party involved, solely to deliver the app and process the optional purchase.

Changes to this policy

A future version of the app could add a feature that handles data. Recording a child’s voice, so they can hear themselves back, is one example. If that happens, this policy will be updated to describe it before that version is released, and the change will be noted here with a new date.
